This handbook was developed to assist parents to better understand special education and to inform parents about the Special Education Cooperative.

The Special Education Cooperative was established in 1972 to assist the eight school corporations in Ripley, Ohio, and Dearborn Counties in providing special education to students residing in the eight corporations.

The handbook includes parent rights under state and federal law and information about special education programs.

Please keep this booklet with your child's school records so the information is available to you if you need it.
