Autism
Ripley-Ohio-Dearborn Special Education Cooperative provides on-going support, training regarding individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Ongoing support is provided to classroom teachers through collaboration and consultation. Individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder are serviced in a variety of settings depending on the specific needs of the individual. Specific training is offered to teachers and staff regarding various methodologies and strategies. Ripley-Ohio-Dearborn Special Education Cooperative also has an Autism Team which represents our the local districts. The Autism Team meets monthly to determine appropriate methods to benefit students, teachers, and parents. Members of the Autism Team may also visit classroom to offer recommendations to assist with specific students.
A variety of materials regarding Autism Spectrum are available at Ripley-Ohio-Dearborn Special Education Cooperative and may be checked out. These materials include: books, articles, videos, and CDs.
