Hearing Impairment

            Ripley-Ohio-Dearborn Special Education Cooperative provides services to students with hearing impairments on the basis of a full continuum of services. Some students are serviced in their home school setting while others are served in a more restrictive placement outside of the home school corporation. Classrooms for students with hearing impairments are provided in Sunman Dearborn Community School Corporation. Attendance to these setting is based on the individual education needs of the student as documented in the individualized education plan and is the decision of the case conference committee. Ripley-Ohio-Dearborn Special Education Cooperative also employs several interpreters for these students to aid in their communication.
